Long tail The long tail was coined by Chris Anderson and represents internet sales figures. Only a few tracks sell in their millions and millions of tracks only sell a few copies. This has only recently been allowed to happen because huge online companies like iTunes can stock lots of tracks that don’t sell because they don’t have to pay shelf space.
